Family Health Centers of San Diego is a private nonprofit community clinic organization that is an integral part of San Diego's healthcare safety net. Since 1970, our mission has been to provide caring, affordable, high quality healthcare and supportive services to everyone, with a special commitment to uninsured, low income and medically underserved persons.
Family Health Centers of San Diego has 35 sites, including 18 primary care clinics (most offering integrated mental health services), 6 dental clinics and 4 behavioral health facilities. In 2013, Family Health Centers of San Diego provided care to more than 180,000 patients through more than 677,000 encounters.
There are over 600,000 individuals without healthcare in San Diego County, 150,000 of which are children. As the numbers of uninsured and underserved continue to rise in San Diego and nationwide, we strive to expand our network of locations and services to care for those who face the most substantial barriers to health care access.
