Since 2004, the Carpentry Apprenticeship Program trainees of the San Diego Job Corps Center have assisted Family Health Centers of San Diego with their bi-monthly Spirit of the Barrio lunches. With intructors Wally Husted and Ed Miles, they set up tents, tables, and chairs for 500 guests and later, tear it all down and put it way. Recently, Job Corps trainees presented Family Health Centers with a badly needed, custom-made podium.
