General Information & Services

Adolescent Services: Specialty Teen Clinic in Logan Heights providing sick care, physicals, immunizations and pregnancy and STI prevention care. Also offier peer health education and outreach, and a Youth Drop-In-Center.

Adult Medicine: Acute Care, Physical Exams, Health Maintenance, Chronic Disease Management, Employment Physicals, Immigration Physicals, Flu Vaccines, Immunizations, Incision/Drainage of Cysts, Outpatient HIV.

Child & Family Intervention Center: Audiology & ENT, Speech/Language Evaluation & Therapy, Developmental Assessment, Early Intervention - Birth to 3 Years, Pediatric Physical Therapy, Pediatric Occupational Therapy. Logan, Beach, North Park and Grossmont Spring Valley Family Health Center sites by appointment only.

Counseling/Mental Health : Services available for children, adolescents and adults at multiple locations - Logan Heights, Hillcrest, North Park, Spring Valley, City Heights and Mission Beach. Offer individual and group counseling, school-based counseling projects for children, medication management and court certified domestic violence treatment program.

Community Toddler Enrichment Program: Early Intervention Services designed for infants and toddlers identified with special needs or at-risk of developmental delays.

Dental: Grossmont Spring Valley, Logan Heights and North Park sites only.

Health Care for the Homeless: Acute Care, Case Management, Dental Care, Outreach & Referral, Transportation, Mental Health & Substance Abuse Counseling.

Health Education, Classes & Outreach Services: HIV Testing & Counseling, Community Intervention to Reduce Tobacco Use, Weight Management, Childbood Asthma, Hypertension, Nutrition, Teen Pregnancy Prevention Programs, Teen Peer Outreach Services, Cholesterol, Stress, Diabetes, HIV Prevention

The KidCare Express Mobile Medical Unit Program:


Pediatrics: Well Child Care, CHDP Exams, Immunizations, Acute Care, School, Camp & Sport Physicals, Health Screenings for Anemia, Lead, Vision, Hearing and Tuberculosis.

HIV Coordinated Service Center: A drop-in center for HIV infected and affected individuals. Services offered include case management, peer advocacy, HIV testing and assisted referrals to mental health, primary health care and dental health services.

Pharmacy: Logan site only

Specialty Clinics: Chiropractic, Endocrinology, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose & Throat), Podiatry, Rheumatology. Not available at every site.

Urgent Care: All sites welcome those patients needing episodic acute care on a walk in basis. The Logan Heights Family Health Center provides urgent medical care in their Pronto Clinic on Saturdays and weekdays, with some late evenings.

Vision Care Clinic: Comprehensive Exams, Glaucoma Screening, Cataract Screening, Eyeglasses, Optometry/Opthalmology, Contact Lenses, Visual Fields, Retinal Photography. Special extended hours on Mondays: 10am to 7pm. Logan site only.

Women's Health Services: Free Pregnancy Testing, Presumptive Eligibility for Medi-Cal, Perinatal Care (Ultrasonography - Logan, Grossmont Spring Valley and North Park sites, Nutrition Assessment & Education, Health Education, Psychosocial Assessment & Counseling, Prenatal Classes, Lactation Education), Family Planning, WIC, Gynecological Services - Breast & Cervical Screening, Breast Biopsy, Colposcopy, Cryosurgery, LEEP surgery, Fine needle aspiration of breast lumps.

HIV Services: Largest comprehensive provider of HIV services in San Diego County. Outreach, Individual & Group Education, Intensive Prevention Case Management. HIV counseling and testing are available at all clinic sites. HIV specialty medical and dental care, counseling services, HIV case management and return to work assistance are offered at the North Park Family Health Center and Latino Coordinated Services Center.

  • Patients may be seen on an appointment or walk-in basis at any clinic location. Please check the available hours at the clinic you wish to visit.

  • FHCSD accepts a broad range of insurance plans, including Medi-Cal, CMS, private insurance, Champus, Medicare, CHDP, CHDP-TR, Family PACT, Ryan White I, Sharp Health Plan, UCSD Health Plan, Blue Cross, Universal Care, CHG, Healthcare for the Homeless (please call for up-to-date listings).

  • Fees are based on a sliding scale for those who do not have health care insurance.

  • To schedule an appointment, please call the phone number listed for the clinic you wish to visit.

  • To avoid additional fees, please call at least 24 hours in advance to cancel an appointment.

  • Please bring your child's immunization card for every pediatric visit.

  • Saturday Clinic hours:
    Logan Heights Family Health Center - 8:30am - 5:00pm
    Teen Clinic - 9:30am to 1:30pm

  • Bilingual staff (Spanish/English) are available at all clinic locations

  • Most services are available at all clinic locations; however, all services can be accessed, regardless of the clinic location you frequent, through the internal referral system.
