Family Health Centers of San Diego is proud to partner with the County of San Diego to operate vaccination sites at multiple locations.
We welcome individuals in the San Diego community to apply to volunteer for the following roles:
Needed Volunteer Roles
- Vaccinators: Licensed medical professionals who can perform vaccinations. This includes MDs, DOSs, PAs, NPs, RNs, LVN, pharmacists, and medical fellows and residents. Medical students, nursing students and pharmacy students will be considered.
- Administrative professionals familiar with EMR and patient check-ins.
- Non-medical professionals who can assist with observing after they receive the vaccine, helping patients sign up for post-vaccination monitoring, answering general questions, wayfinding and other operational duties.
Shift times may vary. We are asking for 4-8-hour commitments per shifts. Minimum age to volunteer is 18. Volunteers must be up-to-date on all current vaccinations – this includes MMRV (measles, mumps, rubella and varicella) and the annual flu vaccine and recent TB clearance. A COVID-19 vaccination is not required. Prior to volunteering, community members must have a satisfactory background check and verification of medical certification, if applicable. These will be facilitated by Family Health Centers of San Diego.
Appropriate safety gear, personal protective equipment (PPE), gloves, masks and goggles will be provided.
