Volunteer With Us
Dear Volunteers (and Prospective Volunteers),
It is an exciting time to be interested in volunteering at Family Health Centers of San Diego! With new initiatives and clinics opening in the year ahead, the continued growth and expansion of services will provide several opportunities for volunteers to lend a helping hand. Since our Volunteer Program officially launched, we have on-boarded over 200 official volunteers and have a wait-list of other individuals to be considered. I am optimistic this program will continue to develop into an amazing network of skilled support.
Family Health Centers of San Diego relies on individuals and volunteer groups to help with special events, clerical work, patients in clinics and special projects. Along with volunteer positions, we offer student intern/externships, and administrative assistant volunteer positions available. Volunteers must be willing to commit to a minimum of 100 hours of service and must be a high school graduate to apply. Communication and teamwork are essential throughout your experience.
If you are interested in joining our volunteer team, I encourage you to stay connected with the organization through our website, by signing up for our Community Connection e-newsletter or by adding your name to our volunteer list by emailing me at email@example.com. You may also find open volunteer positions by clicking on the “Volunteers” button below.
I am also excited to announce the first issue of The Voyage, the official Volunteer Services newsletter of Family Health Centers of San Diego. Please view the Winter 2016 edition of the newsletter below or you can download and print a copy here.
Now that you are interested in joining our volunteer team, I encourage you to make the most of your volunteer adventures by taking the initiative to help. Also remember to provide volunteer service with a smile, and take pride in the contributions you make to FHCSD and our patients. May your voyage ahead be filled with exciting discoveries along the way. After all, success is not a destination, but a journey.
