Family Health Centers of San Diego is open for pediatric appointments.
It’s important to continue to attend your child’s recommended check-ups. Although many pediatric appointments are available through telehealth, some appointments, such as well-child visits and regular immunizations, can only be performed in person.
Well-Child Visit Schedule
Well-child visits are important to ensure necessary preventative care, track your child’s growth and development and establish a good relationship with your pediatrician.

Your provider recommends:
- Starting your child’s immunizations (shots) at birth.
- Making sure your child stays on the recommended well check and immunization schedule.
- Bringing your child’s immunization record to every well check visit.
- Comforting your child after shots by talking in a soothing voice or bringing a familiar toy or blanket.

We offer caring, affordable pediatric primary care at multiple sites throughout the county, as well as developmental services, health education and mental health care. Your child can receive exceptional care from Family Health Centers of San Diego for all of their health and wellness needs.
Pediatric Development Services
+Periodic child development check-ups start at one month of age. Evaluation of hearing, speech, motor development and therapy are provided when needed. Group classes are also available.
Breastfeeding Support
+Breastfeeding has many health benefits for you and your baby. Support and resources are available Monday through Saturday at multiple sites.
Parent Education
+Our “Infant Safety & Health Education” sessions include infant nutrition, basic care, home safety and injury prevention education. Available Monday through Saturday.
Dental Check-Ups
+Dental visits lead to healthier mouths! We recommend dental check-ups start when your child turns one year old.
