FAQ

Can I speak with current residents or shadow before applying?

No. To ensure a fair and consistent application process, we do not offer individual meetings with staff members or shadowing opportunities before or during the application period. We encourage applicants to review the information available on this webpage to learn more about the program and what to expect.

Can I submit my application before the application period opens or after the deadline?

No. The program follows strict application deadlines and does not accept pre-applications, early submissions or late applications.

Will I need to have my license and board certification before applying?

Yes. A valid license and board certification are required at the time of application submission. Board certification will be verified during the interview process.

What type of training is required?

Candidates must be trained in family medicine. APP residents provide primary care across the lifespan and must be licensed to do so. This program is not designed for nurse practitioners or physician assistants who specialize in or are trained exclusively in pediatrics, gerontology primary care, psychiatric care or acute care.

Is the salary negotiable?

No. Because the residency is a structured training program with dedicated educational resources and mentorship, salary levels are fixed and are not negotiable.
