Advanced Practice Provider Residency Program

Family Health Centers of San Diego’s Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Residency Program is a 12-month educational program for recently graduated nurse practitioners and physician assistants. The program offers a unique salaried opportunity to strengthen clinical skills and prepare for a career in community medicine. Residents gain experience managing complex patient needs within a multicultural, socioeconomically diverse population and develop the skills needed to practice in a Patient-Centered Medical Home serving medically underserved communities.
