There are many ways to reduce tobacco use, including talking to your provider, short-term counseling, behavioral therapy, phone apps and medication. Ultimately, the first step for any of these methods is deciding that cigarettes, or e-cigarettes (vapes), will no longer play any role in your life.
To help you on the path to reducing use of tobacco or nicotine products, FHCSD’s Patient Care Support Services Department offers free, year-round tobacco treatment support and education classes for anyone who has decided to reduce their consumption or quit.

Group smoking cessation classes (by phone):
Reducing or quitting tobacco or nicotine use can be difficult, especially without support.
Our program includes four 45-minute group sessions held by phone, led by a trained provider. Sessions cover topics related to tobacco and nicotine dependence, behavior change and strategies to reduce use. Support from a medical professional and others working toward the same goal can increase your chances of quitting for good.
