Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD) is a welcoming and open environment for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) community. We are committed to providing comprehensive health care services, including the full range of adult, women’s and men’s services, as well as connecting individuals with HIV or hepatitis to screenings and treatment, Gay Men’s Health Services, prenatal services and more.

Regardless of health condition or income status, our courteous and professional medical staff is committed to treating all patients with the utmost dignity and respect. All of our primary care clinics proudly serve the San Diego LGBTQ community.

Services we offer the LGBTQ community include:
  •  Adult Services
    We meet the full spectrum of our patients’ wellness needs. From treating chronic health conditions, such as high blood pressure, diabetes and asthma, to sick visits and wellness exams, we focus on providing compassionate care for the entire body.
  •  STD Prevention, Screening & Treatment
    If you are sexually active, prevention and regular screenings for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), such as gonorrhea, herpes, syphilis and HIV, can lower your risk of infection and provide you with peace of mind. Routine testing for hepatitis B and C and HIV is offered at all clinic locations, with our Hillcrest Family Health Center providing quality treatment and care to people living with HIV/AIDS.     Our Gay Men’s Health Services provide support/services to men who have sex with other men and transgender individuals, and also has services specifically designed to address the needs of the Latino and African American communities.     Feeling sad or depressed? Do you worry too much? Our professionally trained mental health counselors offer a variety of therapies—including individual, couples and group—to address your behavioral issues and help you feel better.
  • Alcohol and Drug Services
