COVID-19 Booster Shots

Información en español

We know you may have questions about potential COVID-19 booster shots.

Based on guidance from the FDA and CDC, FHCSD will be moving forward with booster doses for all patients who previously received the COVID-19 vaccine. Anyone over the age of 18 who completed the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine series more than 6 months ago or had a J&J vaccine more than 2 months ago is now eligible for a booster.

According to the CDC, any of the COVID-19 vaccines can be used for the booster vaccination, regardless of the vaccine used for primary vaccination. Although FHCSD will generally provide you with the same vaccine you were originally vaccinated with, supply may sometimes be low. In those cases, we will mix vaccines, which is still safe and effective.
