+ City Heights Family Health Center

The City Heights/El Cerrito area hosts the most ethnically diverse community in San Diego County. Key ethnic demographics include Latinos, Somalis, Vietnamese and Cambodians. While the Family Medicine Residency Program at City Heights Family Health Center (CHFHC) integrates rotations in behavioral health, a new building development across the street will be entirely dedicated to the Psychiatry Residency Program. The El Cerrito Family Counseling Center (ECFCC) will be completed in Fall 2023 and will offer psychiatry services for children, adolescents, adults and veterans, as well as refugee health and addiction services. The site will include examination rooms for psychiatrists (faculty and residents), psychologists/therapists and social workers to provide comprehensive care.

+ FamilyHealth-Youth Counseling Center

Located in the Barrio Logan neighborhood of San Diego, the FamilyHealth-Youth Counseling Center (FH-YCC) was the first youth counseling center at FHCSD to target mental health and behavioral health needs of children and youth. Services include mental health, psychiatric and SUD services. Pediatric development services are also provided on site. This clinic has a partnership with UCSD and Rady Children’s Hospital for the child psychiatry fellowship program.

+ Hillcrest Family Health Center on Third Avenue

Hillcrest Family Health Center on Third Avenue (also known as Hillcrest Annex) is located in the urban center of San Diego and is accessible by the Metropolitan Transit System bus route. This location offers a Concentrated Mental Health Program (similar to intensive outpatient program), Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program, addiction services and treatment for individuals with severe mental illness (SMI), including those requiring Clozaril and Long-acting Antipsychotic Injection Medication Program. UCSD community psychiatry residents rotate through this site. In addition, the LGBTQ-specific outpatient clinic, weight management clinic and neurology outpatient clinic are offered at Hillcrest Family Health Center located on 4th Avenue.

+ La Mesa Family Counseling Center

La Mesa Family Counseling Center (LMFCC) offers services for adult and older adults including psychiatric care, therapy and social workers.

+ Landis Avenue Family Counseling Center

Located in the Chula Vista region of San Diego, Landis Avenue Family Counseling Center (LAFCC) offers psychiatric and psychological care for adults and older adults. The clinic staff include psychiatrists, associate clinical social workers and case managers. It is located in proximity to Chula Vista Family Health Center and Chula Vista Family Counseling Center right across the street.

+ Sweetwater Family Counseling Center

Sweetwater Family Counseling Center (SWFCC) offers psychiatric and mental health services for adults and children. This site houses psychiatry providers, licensed therapists (licensed clinical social workers and psychologists) and case managers. Residents will complete their outpatient psychiatry rotations in their third year at this location.

+ Oceanside Family Counseling Center

Oceanside Family Counseling Center (OFCC) is FHCSD’s first location in North County. This clinic houses psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and case managers and offers services for adults and children with psychiatric conditions. It is also located next door to our second PACE center, which offers services for older adults with medically complex and psychiatric conditions.
