Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD) offers high-quality and affordable LGBTQ Services to the community in a welcoming and open health care environment. We are committed to providing comprehensive health care services, including the full range of primary care and reproductive health services, as well as connecting individuals with HIV or hepatitis to screenings and treatment, Gay Men’s Health Services including PrEP and PEP, Transgender Health Services, prenatal services and pediatric care and more.

Substance Use Disorder Services+
Our substance use disorder services staff and counselors work closely with the medical providers in our clinics to support patients in developing and completing personalized plans to reduce the negative physical and psychological impacts of drugs and alcohol. For those in need of additional support, we offer a structured outpatient substance use disorder program. Our services are flexible to meet each client’s unique needs and type of care after discharge.

We offer free and low-cost annual OB/GYN exams, pap/cancer screenings, breast exams and mammograms, pregnancy tests and counseling, STD testing and treatment and several birth control options.

Gay Men’s Health Services is a program brought to you by FHCSD. We are focused on providing quality support, education and advocacy for the overall health of gay men in San Diego County. HIV and Hepatitis Services+
As the largest provider of HIV and hepatitis treatment and prevention services in the region, we believe in a client-centered approach that takes the whole individual into consideration when discussing prevention or treatment. We provide a variety of HIV and hepatitis testing, support-and-education activities and services, and we pride ourselves on working with community partners for referrals and resources.

Mental Health Services+
Our warm and caring mental health services staff provides support to the health of the whole body, including physical, emotional and mental well-being. STD Prevention, Screening & Treatment+
We offer STD screening and treatment services at all of our primary health clinics. If you are sexually active, regular screenings for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), such as gonorrhea, herpes, syphilis and HIV, can lower your risk of infection and provide you with peace of mind.

Transgender Health Services+
Finding a trans-informed medical provider is important. Transgender individuals face a unique range of issues and health disparities, and we pride ourselves on our commitment to providing quality, trans-informed services to the community.
Being trans-informed includes educating our office staff about transgender issues and etiquette in order to provide a professional medical environment. We strive to ensure our patients receive quality care through a direct and long-term relationship with their chosen provider and health care team. This team is respectful of, and responsive to, individual patient preferences. From free pregnancy testing to cancer screenings, we offer an extensive array of services designed to meet the reproductive health care needs of our patients. San Diego Benefits Enrollment Center+
San Diego Benefits Enrollment Center (SDBEC) assists low-income Medicare beneficiaries with enrollment in MSP, LIS, LIHEAP, Medi-Cal and SNAP.
A benefits screening can determine what entitlement benefits you may be eligible for. It takes less ten minutes to complete and is unique to you. It is completely free of charge and there are no obligations. Additionally, you do not need to be a patient of Family Health Centers of San Diego and you do not need to switch your health care provider.
