Dalal Aago, M.D.Hawler Medical University College of Medicine

Originally from Nineveh, Iraq, Dr. Aago attended Hawler Medical University in Erbil, Iraq where she completed her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. Dr. Aago’s interest in psychiatry began as she witnessed the transformative journey of individuals living with mental health challenges and the positive impact it had on their lives. Her professional interests include child and adolescent psychiatry, addiction medicine and reproductive psychiatry. In her free time, she enjoys making epoxy resin crafts, along with traveling and exploring new destinations with her family.

Jose Soto Santos, D.O.A.T. Still University of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona (SOMA)

Originally from Mexico, Dr. Soto Santos grew up in Bakersfield, California. He obtained his B.A. in human biology from California State University Bakersfield and later completed his medical degree from A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine. His professional interests include interventional psychiatry, addiction psychiatry, advocating for better care within his community, challenging the cultural stigma of mental health in the Hispanic community and using a multifaceted approach to reshape the perceptions of mental health. Outside of medicine, Dr. Soto Santos enjoys playing soccer, playing the guitar, listening to podcasts, traveling and spending time with his wife, son and their three cats.

Jeffrey Wong, M.D.University of Colorado School of Medicine

A native of San Francisco, Dr. Wong obtained his B.S. in human biology and society from UCLA. Following his undergraduate studies, he engaged in ethnographic research at UCSF where he collaborated with the Bay Area LGBTQ house/ball community to develop an effective HIV prevention intervention. Dr. Wong earned his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. There, he led the production of a documentary chronicling the four-year journey of eight medical school classmates from underrepresented backgrounds in medicine and earned the institution’s Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship. Dr. Wong’s professional interests include transitional age youth mental health, first-episode psychosis, psychotherapy, LGBTQ psychiatry, cultural psychiatry, physician well-being, consult liaison, addiction and the intersection of climate change and mental health. In his free time, he enjoys hiking through national parks, running, snowboarding, surfing, playing volleyball and relaxing with friends over movies or TV shows on Friday nights. He also devotes time to practicing comedy, indulging in international travel and staying connected with friends and family over the phone.
